Arbol de Esperanza is a non-profit organization that provides a safe and supportive space for women in the western region of Costa Rica, focusing on actions such as empowerment and reinforcement of their skills, with a view to achieving their autonomy and that of the organization.

Our service model offers a comprehensive program in which the participants receive individual attention in psychology, counseling in social work, as well as workshops, talks, a socio-educational group, an educational program and various activities; to promote a safe approach and accompanying an environment that allows the acquisition, development and/or strengthening of mental health; in addition to job training with a focus on employability. We work for, with and from women.
A of reach of more than 2800 people has been achieved in the last 10 years, between the ages of 15 and 68 in the Western Zone of Costa Rica.
Economic stability has increased, mental health has been strengthened, socio-labor tools have been acquired and the autonomy of the participants in our program has improved.
We have generated spaces for psychosocial care, comprehensive well-being, educational spaces, and participated in the prevention and care of gender violence.
