Maria Gabriela Arguello’s experience involves work in US Public Service Consulting & Operations, centered on program development, creating partnerships with public and private entities in Massachusetts, helping leverage federal funds, as well as consulting for International Development firms based in the US. Upon her return to Nicaragua with a strong belief that people-centered designs are vital for development effort’s sustainability, her field work at a health care clinic led her to involve clinic staff with external volunteers in the implementation of a women’s program for the women in the community aimed at increasing self-esteem, economic situation and family quality of life. Her vision of creating an ecosystem that would connect organizations across the world to help them scale their work and contribute to women´s economic uplifting and human digntity is what inspired her to create Uplifting Women by MGA. She has a postgraduate degree in International Business from Universidad Americana, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Culture, minor in Education, and Master’s in Public Administration from Clark University.
