Commercial Investments
$150 million in the Protein and Animal Nutrition businesses value chains in Honduras and Guatemala.
Protein: Increase poultry production and distribution capacity to meet growing market demand.
Animal Nutrition: Expand production operations of animal and pet food to reach more locally owned retailers and provide animal producers with the products and services they need to grow their business.
Social Investments
$10 million in new partnerships to support school lunch programs, farmers, producers and small business owners.
Invest in Women
One of the objectives of our investments in the region is to empower women in the food and agricultural system. We want to develop women leaders in the north of Central America, both in our company and in local communities.

Our combined business and social investments:
Help over 19,000 farmers and producers boost profits providing them with products and services to increase or improve their production, and with knowledge and resources to diversify their income through the addition of animal agriculture.
Support the more than 52,000 micro, small and medium entrepreneurs retailers we already serve offering them business development services, options for additional income streams and access to financing.
Support more than 1,000 farmers and producers and more than 25,000 children and community members by strengthening the capacity of school feeding programs and the facilitation of commercial relationships that establish farmers and producers as providers of nutritious food for those programs.
Improve economic growth and job creation throughout the agricultural value chain.
Meet the needs of the local market and at the same time generate more trade within Central America and the Caribbean.
